Dr. Neer joined the faculty of UCF as Research Assistant Professor in January, 2011. She will serve as Project Coordinator for the Trauma Management Therapy Program for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. The program was funded by the Department of Defense with Deborah C. Beidel, Ph.D., ABPP as Principal Investigator. Dr. Neer will screen potential participants, conduct comprehensive assessments, provide individual and group therapy, and supervise all post-doctoral and graduate students working on this project.
Dr. Neer received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University in 1990. She completed her internship and post-doctoral work at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, University of Pittsburgh. She has been a member of the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh as well as the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Neer has published a number of scholarly journal articles and book chapters. Her clinical research interests have included anxiety disorders, eating disorders and psychophysiological measurement.
